(7) Papers showing that large quantities of Russian coal have been transported by the Sortoflot from Vladivostock to Swatow

during the last two years.

(8) A telegram from Tientsin recalling Kougler and ordering

him to leave his work in the hands of a person to be appointed by the Consul, and to bring all official documents to Tientsin and perhaps Vladivostock, to explain the cause of "finincial

difficulties".

Nothing incriminating was found. The whole party left for Shanghai per S.S. Preussen at 17.00 hours 8th May, 1927. They were watched by Police during their stay in Hong Kong

but nothing suspicious was noticed.
